Yikes

I simply cannot believe it's only 3 months to Christmas! I'm reasonably organised on the card front and have a few here for the Rudolph challenge
These got put together with scraps from my desk, I was tidying up before coming over to the USA for a holiday with the family. Tonight we are off to watch the "homecoming football " match, Saturday is Lakes Brewfest for the grown ups then Sunday we are being treated to "Saturday night Fever" after having a house full for Football Sunday (American Football) so a busy weekend.

See you all with some more creations soon.....

Latest...

So we flew across the pond on Sunday ....shopped yesterday....yeay! I got a gelli plate to play with on my return home, some Tim holtz stuff & other fun items.... This morning I got to draw a dinosaur with my grandson at the breakfast table but I think I'll refrain from sharing as it's pretty pathetic!

I managed to put together a quick page for journal 52- calendar
A free calendar, some stencilling, a motif cut from an adult colouring book. The desk at home is cleared so I had to make it be fast & simple....

Every chief Monday was a real challenge, MYTH here is where it took me...
Yep! I failed miserably this week to find anything suitable :-(

For my ATC I did slightly better

I'm off out for the day so I'll see what I can come up with for next weeks challenge...

Friends

Our latest theme for positiv journal is friends...

Some paper from my stash, sizzlits used on 2 corners, the image was a card received from a friend that was hanging on the display in front of me & seemed perfect for the occasion.

Patricia & Sabine are my 2 oldest friends from primary school days, they both came from Paris & their parents were diplomats. We were all in the same class in Libya and though we've not met up since 1967 we have remained in touch & occasionally speak on the phone. One lives in France & works for the government whilst the other is now living in Washington state. Who knows when we will meet again...

Monday

So where did last week go? One day it was Monday and a challenge of ear then I blinked....did a couple of journal challenges which involved some digital fun, see
http://krazyjaynes.blogspot.com/2015/09/digital-imagery.html for that one if you're interested) for DLP & I also did some inky creating for journal 52 that's covered in http://krazyjaynes.blogspot.com/2015/09/hope.html - I also started taking part in 365 days of journaling dangerously (glutton for punishment)
Here are 3 of the posts....

And now it's Monday again and.....drum roll please.....we have a new theme for our inchie rhythm so without further ado here is the inchie....Stamping on a scrap with some plastic musical pieces

And the ATC, another scrap, stamp ( inkadinkadoo) peel-offs another plastic topper and some hand doodling

Digital imagery

I have never really done much dipping of the toes in the whole digital scene....it's all I can do to stay on top of blogger but this week DLP want us to use digital imagery/what makes your heart sing!

Fortunately one of the team talked about an app that works on iPads so I went over to check out how much of a mortgage I'd need,no pain....79 pence so this happy bunny made a purchase.

I've used an image of the Fort de Savoie that lies at the north of Colmars les Alpes just along the valley from our holiday home. I captured the original image one evening shortly before a storm

I just love the light on the building....

I used distress inks/stencilling to echo some of the colours in the images

This one used the pith overlay
And this one is the reckoning one. I love the worn scratched feel to it!

Distress inks (hickory smoke, weathered wood, seedless preserve) + a little silver spray for the background that is watercolour paper. A diecut corner (seedless preserve) & an Umbrella man along with some stamped/masked balloons....

Some of the hard to see silver

And as today is Monday its therefore inchie day - this week's challenge is EAR
Ive used a partial stamping for this one!

Time to rise & shine, feed Bill & Bailey their breakfast & get on with the day now.

Dreams

I consider myself lucky to dream in colour so when dreams popped up as a theme at POSITIV JOURNAL I knew where I wanted to go....

A close up of scraps used on the left page

The web is a Martha Stewart corner punch

And the right hand side...

Doodles and a stencil for the letters.

The next theme is ritual!
