Day 28

4 weeks in!

An opportunity to use a colourful background for a little scene from an art catalogue.

Saturday 27 April 2019

Arting about

Life documented week 18
Theme: picture this using photographs or magazine pictures. Prompt: use the colours from photos or magazine pictures to create a background. Technique: create repeat patterns with stencils brushstrokes and lines. Quote: my future starts when I wake up in the morning. Every day I find something creative to do with my life. Miles Davis

I skipped the quote this week and went with a picture that I've had for ages, only used half of it! I went about this page in complete opposite direction to the prompt....I already had a background but as the photo worked I just added some stencilled pattern over the top & a little doodling with sharpie & belly roll. My journal, my rules!

Ouch

Well, here I am, back on the keyboard after a dreadful night! My back has gone into spasm across my ribs and I can barely move, breathing hurts...the physio tried to help yesterday but, sadly, it's not worked so I shall be trying for a cancellation with my osteopath.

I did manage to finish some art yesterday...

Day 22

.....yes I'm still here with my mini art pieces and at this rate I'll soon be a quarter of the way there!

This time we have some fancy footwear and the background is metallic gel pen / stencil.

Also managed a journal page for Life Documented

Theme: picture this using photographs or magazine pictures. Prompt: blending horizons. Technique: use magazine clippings to piece together a scene adding paint or markers to tie everything together. Quote: don't forget to go outside and escape to creation.

I almost wimped out on this one! However a stencilled background, some mini landscape images that came from an Open Studios catalogue. 2 fish & a boat + fisherman from a magazine advertisement and a scrap of blue paper managed to convince me that I could do it!
