Monday

Wow, I've done no art for days but I went on a road trip to Entrevaux for their medieval festival

This is the entrance to the walled old town...

Combat...

The camp....

Keeping hydrated......it was a very hot day!

And here is my inchi for this week...a baby Rhino!

It's due to be another hot day so I'm not planning on doing much....read on the terrace this afternoon under my bright yellow sunshade is probably the order of the day, I shall get some laundry done this morning and tonight we are meeting some friends for drinks. Tomorrow will be a painful one, I'm going down to the coast to the villa to collect some things from my parents home - my first trip back since losing my brother back in January! We have a caretaker in place and they are slowly getting the garden / pool clean & tidy. They have moved into the upper part of the villa, the lower floor where my brother lived is next on the "to do" list. It's a relief not to have to deal with the clearing out as my parents half was plenty hard enough.

Have a good week folks and I'll pop in to see you soon.....

COLOUR ME POSITIVE

  1. Wouldn’t life be sooooo much easier if everyone had that special someone in their life. Someone whose presence made you feel safe, calm, loved and at peace. Your Solace. Someone that loves every part of you, the good, the bad and the weird. Someone who listens with great interest, supports your dreams, treats you like the most important person in their life, respects you, believes in you, showers you with cuddles and loves being with you. Someone who makes you feel special.

Eat glitter for breakfast and shine all day

This was going to be tough! I'm no glitter babe & glitter is not thick on the ground in the alps in summer, the snow has all melted or the very high patches have lost their sparkle

Some shaving foam backgrounds

A fortuitous ATC with glitter!

  1. Journal 52

SPEAK:To utter words or articulate sounds with the ordinary voice. To communicate. To express or make known with the voice. To speak the truth. Synonyms: Communicate, convey, declare, express, say, tell. Prompt: Create a spread in which you tell your own truth/story. Express yourself in words on the page, and use images that express the act of speaking up. Oracle: What needs to be said? What do you want to ‘speak into being’? How can telling your truth help you bring forth what you most desire right now?

Still working with those limitations!

The weekend has arrived & the sun returned so no more art for now but I'll clove with our latest inchie...camel

Fly

In a way it would be nice to fly....but I'm heading for our chalet in France by car so my return comments on everyone's inchies this week might be a little slow as I will have no internet between Monday morning and Tuesday evening .

Here is this week's entry....FLY

Journal 52

We've got both lawns cut in anticipation of our holiday & it's nice to know that's the last time that I shall cut grass for a couple of months.... It will continue to grow but a neighbour's grandson is cutting it in our absence and over in France I have a man that comes in...bliss"

GROW: To arise or issue forth as a natural development from an original happening, circumstance, or source. To come to be by degrees. Synonyms:
Become, develop, expand, flourish, rise, thrive, burgeon, ripen, spring up, fill out, get bigger, come to be. Prompt: Explore how you have grown in the first six months of the year. Create a spread that honours the growth you’ve experienced. Oracle: What is growing within you? What is growing around you? What needs more attention so that it can grow? What do you want to grow less of? More of?

A bubble wrap printed background and a transparent/green tape, some stash images & stencilled GROW.

The daisies are from a card, the watering can & garden tools squares are scraps of gift wrapping paper. The lady is from the same article as the rambler that I used last week.

I'm not sure when I'll get my fingers inky again as there is the hairdresser to be visited, the packing to finish, the car to load and the house to tidy before we head off to France... .

I know we will have internet on Sunday in York but monday (ferry) will be a write off so it will be Tuesday evening before I get online again (briefly) then Wednesday should see us reaching our destination in the sun.... keep watching this space for updates!
