1079

Thank goodness that the figure is not the number of deaths from this plague or indeed the number of days that we have been in confinement!

I’m making art, gardening, cooking in an improvisational manner & hoping that I don’t end up an alcoholic lol.

Here are my latest art offerings

Colour me positive

Life documented

Started out as a cream sheet of card that got coloured with soft pastels then overstamped with versamark which i then brushed over with some redundant eyeshadow!

I then overstamped with Clarity ART in coffee archival, went back over the eyeshadow lines with a copper gelli pen and coloured in the background with Promarker pens

Next up is another wacky holidays page

A mixed media postcard that has arrived at its destination

Another that has yet to be mailed but the lady that is going to get it has seen it!

And finally a piece prompted by Seth Apter group on Facebook

Inked free papers that have been torn & glued down, overstamped, black soot oxide ink rubbed over in places then some wiped back through a stencil. Over the background I have added some Tim Holtz kiddies, a diecut fence, a Destination diecut that has been inked with oxide & overstamped then part torn. Corona “virus” is ink splat stamp & red embossing powder. Covington 19 has been stamped onto a paper strip..... trying to stay positive!

Stay safe good people- look after your loved ones and keep washing your hands and maintaining safe distance.

Coronavirus chaos

well folks it’s been a funny week! I’ve been staying at home so I can keep Bill safe and pals have been doing bits of shopping for me as the earliest Tesco delivery I can get is 6th of April and what’s more is that half the fresh produce I have got in my basket is now marked as unavailable!!!

On the home front we are both keeping well to, the dog is getting extra walks as Bill is getting cabin fever! I have been continuing to work on the “destash” program and made quite a few altered clothes tags....a suggestion from Art Prompts Galore

Well, that’s all for now!

I’ll save my other stuff for the next update so remember to keep washing your hands , keep calm & craft on!

Life documented

As you all probably know by now, I am not a rules following girl....but, today I am almost there! I got hold of a few paints (Pebeo high viscosity acrylics) and did some finger painting!!! Yes! REALLY!!!! But as ever I still had to go and do my own thing - what a shocker right...so I used tracing paper as my base, used a black sharpie for the dark background and a small offcut of a diecut to give my background a little interest using a white gelli roll as I had with the flowers. I just about managed to squeeze in the quote along the bottom of the page. Had me some fun along the way too. I think in the end I was probably influenced by Alicia Burke’s work

Then we have some wacky holidays

And an altered clothing tag

Stay safe in these trying times

Keep calm
And
Craft on!

And last but not least for Art Journal Journey whee the theme is insects

This one landed on just the right page, one that I had prepped earlier, as it just happened to have some insects stamped on almost as watermarks!

Time to go and catch up on some blog visiting now....
