Home

My French travels are over but I shall be off gallivanting again in a few days! Really, does this girl ever stay home???? It's my mum's big sister's 90th on the first of September so there's a big family reunion happening and I'm off on the train to visit for a couple of days.

There are new husbands & wives to meet as well as grandchildren of my cousins, we last all got together when my grandmother passed away in 1994!

No art has been made, we had the painters doing the outside of the chalet the last 2 days we were in France and I'm just about unpacked now.

I do have an inchie to share for our new challenge though...a jellyfish!

The end

Or at least almost the end!

No art journal work done this week, quite a few of the ones I do were late getting their new challenge posted so it's been a lazy week on the art front but not on the eating .....
Friday I had prawn salad...7 HUGE prawns or Gambas Royales in this case, cooked on the BBQ !

The only art to share is a new inchie....seagull of which we see none here but we do see a variety of vulture!

This is a google image of a lammmergeier or bearded culture, we see them circling in the area!

We head home on Wednesday so I'll be running late with my art...oh well, it's not the end of the world as I will get caught up sometime!

Saturday 12 August 2017

Lazy

The sun came back out this week although it's been cooler, no more art has been done but I'm still romping my way through the books to read list!

Friday evening we went down to Colmars les Alpes ....

And had a very fine pizza!

Saturday saw us return in our costumes for the medieval festivities....

And more good food!

Mini chain mail....

One of the costumes rental people....

A new friend in the shape of an artisan beer seller....

As you will gather we had a great time :-D

A final photo....this being our new inchie and highly appropriate too....frog!

There are more activities planned for the coming week so watch this space.....

Tears are prayers too, they travel to god when we can't.

On the darkest days, when i feel inadequate, unloved and unworthy, I remember who's daughter I am and I straighten my crown.

I picked up some old photos whilst I was in Cogolin at the villa last week, turns out they come in handy!
