A few days in Nottinghamshire last week in the home town to see family & say goodbye to my 97 year old aunt meant I was a few days late getting to the prompts this week… only done 1 so far!
A couple of birthday cards for male friends that have a birthday soon !
The keyboard one is on an acrylic inks and shaving foam background with some watercolour pencils. David is going to be 60 and is a music fan.
I almost forgot about this one, it’s definitely more of a challenge to remember when it is every fortnight- we had to do a mono print on tracing paper and related to a favourite place.
I love our time in the French Alps in the dolls house that we have! Summer or winter is lovely but since giving up skiing I definitely don’t miss the snow clearing!
Printed in B&W onto tracing paper and then I added some colour on the reverse side with alcohol pens
I’m still doing the Colour Me Positive prompts, it was a little bit late being released this week and I’ve also had other things going on like external paintwork….
What do you know, it’s just about a week later and I’m here with a new quote from Colour Me Positive to add to my little book.
A Clarity stencil + Twisted Citron distress ink, a “Face “ from my bit box which I think might be a Julie Fei Fan Balzer image and the quote is written using a proper old fashioned pen and nib + Mont Blanc green ink
….. And so am I! Despite the weather warning for yesterday, which was only amber for our area, we can honestly say that we got off lightly as we only had rain, strong wind at times but most importantly we had no power cuts. I took the opportunity catch up on some crafting by finishing off making the alphabet koins that I had not yet done, got my valentine card made & started to transfer a load of quotes to a Commonplace book rather than having them on assorted scraps of paper.
I’m using a small square book for the Colour Me Positive group this year and here’s the quote that was given this week…
I’m trying to neaten my handwriting so this is a good way to start in some practice! I have stencilled the background & added a magazine image of flowers.
Some inks & watercolour pencils for another birthday card, it’s not required for a little while but I decided to strike while I’m inspired and also freezing cold outside! I just need to flatten it out and then mount it on a card blank.
