June tag.....1, 2, 3

OK! the Jubilee celebrations are over for another 10 years so I hope everyone has some lovely memories to keep them going.
I had planned to do some planting out of pots & baskets but the rain yesterday was torrential at times so put it off until today....and had myself some fun time in the workroom. I had ideas that had been buzzing around in my head for a couple of nights (interfering with my sleep!!!) and I have been playing with Tim's June tag ideas....but as usual I did not have many of the bits I needed so I improvised A LOT!

I used China White watercolour paint & brown ink for my base tag as I've no distress stains, no "rose" ribbon so came up with options, no Ranger pen/nibs so another solution was pre-tinted photo or Promarker, no file tab but an off cut of card+ some silver pigment ink & embossing powder did a not bad job- all I had to do was add a number & an epoxy sticker. My ribbons got swiped through the same paint as I used for the base tag and the paper layer under the photo was a paper bag I got on my first trip to Boston (Mass) when I went to visit my granddaughter for the very first time 9 years ago- if you keep things long enough....it WILL come in useful!

this is the tag using Promarkers to tint the photo which worked quite well, the twill REMEMBER ribbon & heart buttons are stash from the USA as is the small metal "friendship" tag. I am entering this one in Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2012- June

this version has a pre-tinted photo on copy paper, not so keen and the satin rose was misted and then dragged over Dusty Concord distress ink.

In this version the photo is printed onto gloss photographic paper & was already tinted so all I have done is add stamped numbers down the side and Vintage Photo ink around the young lady with some Walnut ink on the edges, again the INSPIRE, flower, ribbon & leaves came from my stash.

And as you will have noticed...I remembered to rotate this photo! I am still learning......Hope you don't get dizzy looking at this sideways :-)

this one is being entered in Try in on Tuesday's anything goes
