A couple of this week's prompts have seen destined to be dealt with in one particular way because this week has seen us face the dreaded task of saying goodbye to Bailey.

Every inchie Monday

Russia of the tsars and mad Rasputin, the gulags & Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Chekhov, Tolstoy, Tchaikovsky, Dostoyevsky, Pasternak ...vast expanses of land & snow....Dr Zhivago! The mad glory of St Basils church in Moscow and the Kremlin, the splendours of the palace (the Hermitage) in St Petersburg, samovars, bears, Stalin, Lenin & Trotsky, the myriad forms of Matryoska dolls, the Bolshoi ballet, the Volga river & lake Baikal, the steppes, Ural Mountains....a land a stark contrasts!

I'm sharing a part of the country map, the flag and a stamp from dad's collection...
