Sadness

A couple of this week's prompts have seen destined to be dealt with in one particular way because this week has seen us face the dreaded task of saying goodbye to Bailey.

Colour me positive

Pink frame, dandelion seedhead. Quote: sometimes the smallest things take up the most space in your heart. Winnie the Pooh

Art journal journey

week 11:Image: kite. Word: soar. Prompt: write about where you would go and what you would do if you were lifted into the sky and carried away. Technique: include fabric on your page. Quote:  One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar. Helen Keller.

This one was done before Tuesday so a more upbeat spread!

I've used a ready made background, stamped 3 kites & a girl with a kite + the word SOAR . I them stamped the kites & girl separately, coloured them / cut out & glued to my page then added the handwritten quote.

Every inchie Monday

Russia .....land of the tsars and mad Rasputin, the gulags & Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Chekhov, Tolstoy, Tchaikovsky, Dostoyevsky, Pasternak ...vast expanses of land & snow....Dr Zhivago! The mad glory of St Basils church in Moscow and the Kremlin, the splendours of the palace (the Hermitage) in St Petersburg, samovars, bears, Stalin, Lenin & Trotsky, the myriad forms of Matryoska dolls, the Bolshoi ballet, the Volga river & lake Baikal, the steppes, Ural Mountains....a land a stark contrasts!

I'm sharing a part of the country map, the flag and a stamp from dad's collection...
