Carpet day looms

My Colour me positive:
It is easy to see the beauty in others. Why is it that we focus on the things we’d like to change about ourselves and forget about our beautiful qualities? When was the last time you thought about all the wonderful qualities that make up the beautiful person looking back at you in the mirror……yes, that would be YOU. beautiful and/or positive qualities that make up you. Choose one to incorporate this in this weeks journal page.
I'm still having to improvise with the contents of my travel kit...as I was brought up to improvise in all manner of ways this seemed to obvious spread to go with!
Under paper/ machine embroidery threads / Paper buttons, thimble & spool / alphabet stickers.

Every inchie Monday: woodpecker - this one is from a card that was amongst stuff that almost went into the bin!

So glad that I had made some backgrounds in advance! I've had time to get a few spreads done despite being busy prepping for the carpet layers coming first thing Monday!

  1. Very creative artwork Sally, no doubt you'll be looking forward to getting the crafty space up and running when all the decorations are complete.

    1. 3 rooms get done Monday, hall + 2 more Tuesday then all the contents reinstated from the garage.....Bill's office, entrance & conservatory get done next week, I told them I had to have a gap because I can't see any way of getting organised for Wednesday for the wood flooring....there's a massive teak bookcase to be moved & also a settee that cannot be removed from the room as it won't fit through the door! We've changed the door since & it was a tight fit in the first place lol.

    1. Not sure when the workroom will be operational as I'm getting Bill's old desk to replace my 3rd hand one - a week to 10 days was quoted! A new chair is on the cards too as the old one has seen better days & we are going to try a new layout for good measure whilst we are at it! The wood floor in the office / conservatory/ entrance doesn't get laid until Wednesday next week so it's a race to get things back in their place so we can empty the remaining 2 rooms. I feel the need for a holiday coming on lol ...

  3. Some great journal pages and inchie Sally. I'm pleased it's not me going through a house upset, and moving everything out of my studio would be a nightmare.

    1. Nightmare indeed! At 12.15 we have the 2 landings, workroom & lounge down & they've gone for lunch so I'm about to start on ours....
