Every inchie Monday
This week the theme is SONG
I just happened to have a scrap of "inkblot" card that is stamped with the music stamp from Tim Holtz "joyful song" so all that I had to do was edge with a little black archival to define the piece & add a musical instrument that I've been hoarding forever!

Grey & raining
No, not here thank goodness! We are currently enjoying our 4th consecutive day of summer :-) but as I am entering the LIM: shades of grey & the ATCAS#17 which is water it seemed appropriate to go with the usual weather!!!!
A 4x6 shades of grey piece of paper (stash) which reminds me of sheeting rain, Tim Holtz's umbrella man die which has been layered - the head & umbrella are plain grey, the coat is a scrap of black/grey & white, his trousers are a slightly iridescent charcoal as is the brolly handle, the shoes are a shiny slate grey & his hat is a silver grey! Not fifty shades but I did my best using scraps ;-)
I'm off to the garden now to practice dealing with the warm weather as I am soon to be off on my holidays!

Late february tag time
I eventually resorted to cheating so as to have this tag finished in time! Yes, I know... Not in the spirit of things but I desperately needed it to put on the front of an anniversary card!!!!
37 years tomorrow & still counting- where have all the years gone since Bill & I got married in Abu Dhabi?
So, to cut to the chase, I've coloured my tag with Festive Berries DI & then spritzed with paper, heat tool dried it....so far so good, I then used some Whispers for DoCrafts stamps (love set) which I stamped (using ColorQ in Merlot) in 2 bands across the tag & clear embossed.
I really could not find anything amongst my stamps (WHAT! I hear you all cry) so I decided to give the Tim Holtz stamp picture a try - I printed it off 3 times as I was happy enough with the size - I'm no computer whizz & could hardly ask Bill to do anything with it.....
So I coloured the base layer with Festive Berries, cut the playing out for the next layer, this got a quick brush with Frayed Burlap around the edges & I coloured the hearts with a Whispers strokes pen. The next layer, the queens, I have coloured with a mix of Promarkers & DI.
I had some Butchers twine in red/white which I toned down using Frayed Burlap, I also coloured a small piece of card at the same time, I cut an arrow out of it (freehand) & added a fine line to define it.
Whilst on a trip to Stirling last year I found a couple of packs of TH frosted mosaic tiles in a bargain bin....I finally got round to using one :-). I used some Chit Chat on the back, used Glossy Accents to glue down a piece of Festive Berries paper behind the whole tile.
Along the top I have added a strip of ribbon (stash) and some heart buttons that have their shanks removed.
I just need to mount this onto a card and I am all set for tomorrow's celebration. Hopefully I will not wake feeling like this queen because....oh no! She is upside down! TOO LATE TO CHANGE HER NOW :-(

Frenchie
Time to share a birthday card that I made for a pal that lives in France - he knows nothing about my blog so the chances of him stumbling across it are????
Black & white papers, black Stazon ink & a freebie stamp by Rainbow Studios, Tim Holtz flourish & Tattered Floral flowers, some pewter coloured brads and I have just the card for Lionel.
They say that the emblem of France is a cockerel & that he is king of the "basse cour" (the farm yard to us) who can only sing when truly happy - and that would be with both feet in the dung heap!

CASology 21: TIME
Tick tock, tick tock, 26 sleeps to Christmas! Where has this year gone?
A little something on the "time" front.... A simple card where I have embossed the front panel using a Tim Holtz embossing folder added a thin gold ribbon along the edge of the join and then added a gold ink & embossing powder clock face (also TH). I have made this as a timely reminder for a girlfriend that she will be joining the "50 & overs" in a few short weeks :-).
She is going to hate me!!!

Less is more week 91 sketch 7
Time to get my skates on as this closes soon & I am able to grab a little me time whilst Bill is busy cleaning out the gutters!
Long panel has been coloured with DI Broken China & stamped with a snowflake stamp in the same colour- cut into 3 panels that have had the edges coloured with DI Salty Ocean.
Once I had stuck these onto the base card I overstamped the panel with Tim Holtz's snowman in archival black, added a few small gems to him & added a "happy holidays".
I cannot believe its only 56 days to go!!!

Fir cones
:-D At last I have managed to get my hands on Tim's tattered pine cones... I convinced Bill to take me to Jo-Ann's this morning and they were having a reduced Tim Holtz products day so some grunge paper, salvage tickets, chitchat, nibs & the pine cone die all made their way into the shopping basket. Loads more I wanted but space is running out in the suitcase :-(. This time next week it will all be over- the up side will be that I can get back into my craft room :-)

Travel...
Try it on Tuesday is about travel this week so here a few ATCs on that theme...
A paint strip with some stamping from Clear Choice Stamps (Travel & Trip to Paris) and another one using a Craft Stamper freebie (map) plus stamps from Limited Edition Stamps by Danielle Johnson
Some Music paper, a leaning tower of Pisa printed onto tracing paper & PISA stamped onto a paper scrap. The next one is a piece of Ordinance Survey map with Tim Holtz stamps (bicycle & postcard) with a flower attached with a brad, and finally Vacation stamped onto green card, a piece of travel advertising from who knows where but it was in my stash and another Tim Holtz stamp of a City Skyline. All this is well & truly putting me in the mood for my holidays :-))
Hope you like what's posted.

70 Years ago my dear husband was born! 35 of those years have been spent married to me.... and to mark the occasion I needed a card that would show some of his interests so here is the finished item where I have used some old maps (appropriate sections of course), papers that I won last December, the car/ beer mugs stamps are Creative Stamping freebies, the bicycle is Tim Holtz & the skier is from A Muse Art Stamps- the numbers were cut using my cuttlebug.
He fell off his bike back in December and damaged his rotator cuff so has had a 2cm tear to the tendon mended....so no cycling at the moment! He used to rally but not in a car like the one on the card, he does enjoy driving however & does all the driving when we go driving to the South of France. Ski-ing is our joint passion and we spend every winter on the ski slopes in the southern french alps.
A real fan of "real ale" we will be heading along to the Deeside Brewery beer fest later on today and as a birthday treat a friend has arranged s taxi for us all so no one has to be a designated driver :-D.
I don't expect to be receiving a handmade card from him on Monday but I am sure that there are some lovely cards for me to open.

4th & 14th July
Tim Holtz has posted his July tag...so as I have no canned air, no alcohol ink, no Statue of Liberty....the list goes on & on....I tried to do something with what I did have.
