12 of us attended the class at Stirling University, old friends & new, all members of the Scottish branches of the Embroiderers Guild- I can't believe I have been going since 1991, we started out at the textiles college in Galashiels in the Borders & moved to Stirling 5 years ago.
So here are some photos of the lovely work that was produced over the 2 1/2 day course...
Some of the pieces got finished, some are almost there...These were all done using a basic "kit" that you could get from the tutor. Mine???? Well of coourse I had to be different, some of you will realise that this is nothing to be surprised about! So instead of making a brooch or pendant, pincushion or scissors keeper I decided to make a cuff! Not finished yet but I do plan to :-D so watch this space...
A little teaser for you
What fabulous embroidery! I'm in awe!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful Sally. Looking forward to seeing your finished cuff when you post it (hopefully you will post it).
ReplyDeleteHi Sally. Glad you a good time in Stirling and it looks like you were very busy. Your embroidery is gorgeous. I grew up in Galashiels and can remember going to the textiles college on school trips. Can't wait to see what your finished piece look like.
