Fun

Colour me positive

Life is all about balance.

I've just spent a few days in Edinburgh celebrating 40 years of married life....we wined & dined!

Art journal journey
Image: sheet music/ musical instruments Word: music Prompt: how music influences your life Technique: use sheet music Quote: where words fail, music speaks.

Coming back from Edinburgh & a visit to the Roslin Chapel (made famous by the Da Vinci code) we took the scenic route home via Gleeshee & Braemar...listening to music from our courting days so this prompt was apt! I've used a tag received from a friend on this spread, another art piece rehoused :-)

Journal 52: soft

Some soft & fluffy "eyelash" yarn to frame this delightful hare on Easter Sunday accompanied by a piece of parchment craft done by a friend....

And our inchie this week is Bug....in this case a ladybird/ ladybug

I hope you have all had a wonderful Easter, I just wish the cold winds would just go away now so we could actually feel spring in the air.

  3. Congratulations on 40 years and some lovely work too. Glad you had a super celebratory weekend away. I'm with you wishing this cold wind would abate - it would be warm then!!! Intrigued by your ladybird - she looks textured but I can't make out if she's embroidered or not? Beautiful though.

    1. Jenny the ladybird is a picture of an embroidered one which is probably the reason for the textured effect:-). Glad you like her!

  7. Is that fabulous hare one of that line of wonderful cards? They're fabulous paintings. Love how you've incorporated him into the art journal - and great to see some evidence of how you've been celebrating in the first page spread.

    1. It is indeed one of those cards! I've had him in my possession for quite a while and the same for the seahorse, I have more from that set which will need to find a home here soon!
