Arting about

I was messing about with paint the other day.....

This one I did with a sample pot I bought many years ago when I did some Egyptian stencilling, it came from Laura Ashley and, despite being more years old than I care to remember, it was still fine to use.
I did some stencilling over the top, Dylusions stencil & 2 different shades of ink and then added a little overstamping with Tim Holtz numbers.

Then up popped colour me positive: healing // add a heart or many

More painting....overstamped using versamark & then dusted with metallic eyeshadow!

Here you can see the stamping a little more clearly

Nothing added to this one yet...

Definitely needs more work....

And then I did a little more of my "use it or lose it" - I had some mop-up scraps that I really quite liked the colours of & decided I wanted to use them to cover the reverse of a page that was blank apart from some bleed through....stuck down with double sided tape and then doodled some fake eyelets & stitches with 2 different sizes of Sharpie.

Journal 52: Prince or the Artist formerly know as prince//purple

DLP: use the colour you reach for the least

Art prompts galore:yellow// scavenger: paint (any colour) through a stencil, household tape (masking,             packing, painters, etc),magazine cutouts,3 items from your scrap box,3 round items,
2 rubber stamped images,a post it note,a paper clip,a envelope,a playing card or picture of a playing card

Sun, paper scrap & mulberry paper from scrap box, round : 2 buttons, sun, yellow diecut (happy mail), sequins, stamped image of a hand holding playing cards & also the word yellow, a circular paper clip, sequin waste stencil with fossilised amber paint.

Every inchie Monday: Monkey

And that is all the art I can share with for now but there will be more.....

  10. Wow - a wealth of creativity in this post. Love the painty pages - can't wait to see where some of those backgrounds take you next. The "stitched" together one is so cool! And red and yellow would be probably joint least-reached-for for me, so it's fun to see them so close together towards the end there... maybe I should branch out!
