Black & gold

Not much crafting done last week owing to the fact that summer finally happened nut it has gone again now!

I did get as far as playing with some black & gold scraps yesterday and came up with these 3 variations for cards. The flowers are die cuts done with the Sizzlits tattered flower garland. Hope you like them

Feb, march & April tags

Summer seems to have reached the north-east of Scotland at long last! Sheltered temperature readings of 24C yesterday & 26.2 today :-) so I have had to make an effort in the garden with regard to the weeds & have moved my geraniums & fuschias from the conservatory to the garage so they can harden off a bit....no crafting been done at all! Got as far as Craigievar castle (national trust property) this morning, not been there for a number of years as they have been doing restoration work.

So I can only share the TH tags I made for February, March & April... Enjoy & may the sun be shining on us all

13

My dad suddenly realised the other day that the birthday card he had bought for my nephew was not appropriate! Tim will be turning 13 and not 12, therefore the card Dad had in the drawer was of no use...Call goes out for me to come to the rescue as it is not that easy to get cards in english in the South of France which is where they all live.

So after a rake through the stamp collection I decided to go with some of the ones that came with Creative Stamping issue 3- I went with a zig-zag effect made out of 2 square cards. Heres hoping the young man will approve :-)

wreaths

I had planned to do this post yesterday but nature intervened...I sat in my workroom watching a baby robin being fed on the patio instead, poor thing looked very sorry for itself as it was raining yet again!!!

So I'll share this wreath which I made last week, more Tim I'm afraid... Tattered Flower Garland Sizzlits this time. The heart is to hang on the kitchen door.
It is still raining and I may even get crafting as I've no desire to be out in the garden even though I should as the weeds are rampant.
This is the one I made this autumn using fabric scraps(silk, cotton, linen) that I then bondaweb-ed onto another fabric so that the leaves would be double-sided. I then used Tim's tattered leaves die plus some acorns, oak galls and blackberries that I picked up in Hobbycraft. I must remember to see what I can find in the Floral Arts department at Michaels & AC Moore's when I go over to California & Maine in september.Looking forward to all the goodies I usually manage to pick up whilst over visiting the kids.

'Til next time...

Blitsy... Yes! My Tim Holtz embossing folders from Blitsy have finallyarrived so all I need now is some play time :-)

I have finaly decided to take a leap into the unknown....blog-land! All a bit scary but hopefully I will manage to hack it and manage to share some of my crafting with you.

I have been playing along with the Tim Holtz tags recently, 12 days of Christmas & also 12 tags of 2012- here are the May ones that I managed to create despite the fact that I really did not have the "ingredients" that Tim has used to make his. In fact, all I had was the distress inks, sewing pattern tissue paper & the rest came out of the "stash" that I have accumulated over the years whilst doing a variety of crafts.

this tag is a #8 and I have used the Alterations sewing room die to make a tailors dummy out of shrink plastic.
for this second one I decided to go with #5 size tag so it is smaller and I really can't decide which size I prefer to work with.
Enjoy...
