DLP31

Add a pocket & fill with the weeks moments....
A watercoloured page, a pocket made from a letter from a friend - price list from salon/hairdresser, receipt from the local supermarket (wine & ice cream) a note of visitors & a note of coffee & rosé wine both drunk outside in the sunshine...still to be added: chocolate packaging & magnum intense chocolate anniversary packaging :-)

Journal 52- week 30

Positive Words

Another Dodo Pad page coloured ad hoc with Caran d'Ache wax crayons, some happy Mail
( home, memorable, cool), a couple of labels ( memories & remember) all the rest I salvaged from the first 25 pages of the ski magazine that was still lurking here.
I added a couple of butterfly stickers & one with cherish stamped on it then all I did was some doodling with a Sharpie

Journal 52

Another week & another theme....this week is fashion.

Would have dealt with this so much better at home, I've no magazines here and no neighbours at the moment either - it's very quiet in the chalets! They will all be arriving at the weekend or even the end of the month.

I managed to locate a forgotten ski magazine and after a rummage I've put together a selection of winter warming fashion! The sort I live in when here in the winter for our ski trip :-)

I shall no doubt add some more images to the flip side when I am reunited with all my stuff next month.
Meanwhile a little merino wool jumper does not go amiss in the evenings as it gets quite cool at just over 4000ft!

Odd

It's Monday again and another week of summer has flown by, I have to say that Sunday started & ended with a bang: I was woken by thunder & then we had more thunder & lightning last night whilst out for dinner in our favourite pizzeria with my brother & my dad.

So Monday is upon us with a new theme over at every inchie Monday which is ODD, I've gone with something we have probably all experienced in our lives at some stage....

ODD SOCKS!

DLP week 30

Add receipts, labels, business cards....

So the junk mail came to the rescue again :-)

Sections of an envelope that held one one of my birthday cards, some green hilighter, Caran d'Ache wax crayons, a local supermarket till receipt, local (bar one) business cards....

I managed to put this together on the day the theme was released!

Twinchie time

This week is all about BBQ's and indeed I had one on Tuesday night...my entry was late I. Appearing however! And then, as I was totally out of ideas....the post delivered some junk mail that solved all my problems I. The shape of a collapsible BBQ :-)

Job done, no catching up to do yet!

Monday

My first Monday back in the chalet for the summer! The sun is shining, it's my husbands birthday (Ooooh but he is getting old!!!) not sure what the day will bring as it's a national holiday here in France but it's good to be here and I have a "wood strawberries" tart on order to celebrate Bastille day/ bill's birthday and mine too :-)

As it's Monday it's also inchie day & the theme for this week is navy, no room on an inchie to draw the whole fleet so here is my feeble attempt....

Happy Bastille day to you all!

Journaling

DLP Week 28 is add a small photo...

I've used an old Dodo Pad page and added a couple of Happy Mail tags + lace that I received & some buttons from my stash. I found this photo when I was looking for something recently so it was quite fortuitous as I have no small piccies AND I avoid having mine taken!

DLP week 29 Wish List...
1 a good man's love & to love in return
2 grandchildren & pets to cherish
3 bird song
4 quality time
5 sand castles to build
6 ski days
7 be happy
8 beautiful sunsets to watch & enjoy
9 stars to wish upon
10 foreign cities to visit together
11 flowers
Nature, butterflies,
But most of all good health to enable me to do all this!

Journal 52 week 28 technology
More of a challenge this one! I did manage to find a picture of an iPod and a laptop so more improvising.... Again with a Dodo Pad page as the base.

Tour de France

Three days into the tour and Yorkshire did us proud putting on a spectacular welcome to all the riders & visitors, today sees them arrive in the Mall & so far it's dry :-).

I've cobbled a tag together....cut out a map that I've painted:
white + red polka dots for the king of the mountains
White for the young rider
Yellow overall winner
Green for the highest points score

I will add the winners names in due course and in the meantime the bicycle clip I found at aunties has found a good home.

This is where you all realise what rubbish hand writing I have!!!

Having posted this I shall now away and finish loading the car ready for the off in 12 hours time....

See you all in the alps....

Bye.

Negative

This is our new inchie theme NEGATIVE ok, so this can be filmstrip,no, black & white....

In the end I decided to use a filmstrip stamp on acetate, used black ink, wrote NO  on white card, glued the acetate down over the top....simples!

Journal 52

Nostalgia is our latest theme and I managed to put some happy mail to good use...

Some old fashion images from modes et traveaux.

My original idea was about a radio station that I love listening to via the internet as it is a French radio station  Radio Nostalgie. It's all about old music from the 60's, 70's, 80's. There is a lot of music on there that reminds me of my 6 years at boarding school in the French alps.
Someone had sent a Beatles sheet music page so after adding a little colour I got down to doodling and this is where it's at so far- I'm not sure I'm done yet :-) but I need to pack so I can go on holiday...

July

It's early July, it's raining & I'm heading off on holiday in a few days YEAY!

It's also time for Tims new tag challenge and I'm improving "au max!" I'd none of the requirements but here's my take....

A tag that's a "mop-up" overstamped with Paper Artsy bubbles, 2 sea horses (grunge paper + acrylic) one is under the recycled/embossed packaging, this would be to hide the fact that I tried to speed up the crackle effect by using my heat gun!!! The sand dollar is a starfish stamp on a circle of grunge paper with some distress stain & distress EP whilst the starfish is freehand cut with more distress EP.
The seaweed is the juniper sprigs from the tattered pine die and my "sand" is some PVA with extra fine nail frost (like micro beads) and disagree EP (antique linen & brushed corduroy).

The tie at the top is gauze bandage coloured with silk paints several years ago. All in all I've had fun improvising!

Here's a close up of the bottom of the tag.....

Well, that's my tag done, now I'm off to a BBQ in the rain!

Moving

A friend of ours is on the move...after almost 4 years in Aberdeen the "Auzz" is going back to London!
Going to miss the auzzie twang and the vertiginous heels that she wears :-(

This little card will get delivered to her tomorrow at their farewell BBQ

Paper Artsy stamps & distress inks
