Colour me positive

 The two most recent ones…

Getting messy ….

…. Is the order of the day! I signed up for the BB BASH free course- I know it’s a fun one as I have done a couple of her courses before .

The first 3 are under papers with some additional marks.

Here’s the messy stuff!

Over the next few days I have worked on the pieces and intend to make a small book for some of my favourite art pieces in this colour scheme.

These two are the inside of the covers: scraps and fake stitches

And then the outside

And then I decided to weave some of the off cuts and used a tracing wheel to get even spacing for the stitches around the edges

Some clusters

Some of the pages are now started but not necessarily finished

More still to be done but I m suffering with sciatica so I’m going to be taking my time!

And on we go… it’s St Paddy’s!

…. Bad sciatica is currently curtailing my activities but I am still managing to finish some work.

Happy St Patrick’s… smooshed inks!

I just wanted to try out a different style for the Jofy Jamboree

JOFY inspired

I love the stamps that Jo Firth-Young creates but I’ve never got around to buying any, I just want them all!!! Anyway I was inspired by a recent article of hers…

Which led me to use a couple of Paper Artsy flower stamps and some doodles

These 2 I have left with no added colour as yet.

Granddaughter time

My granddaughter works at a Doggy Daycare centre, has 3 dogs at home as well as a cat. Her dog Roxy is a blue staffie cross from the shelter that she works with & her cat is a long haired rescue that she got while she was away in college. Definitely a girl that loves her animals! I wanted to acknowledge her love of animals so I had a rake around my stamps and found a few that worked together.

I started out with the darker multi coloured background with versamark ink & white embossing but I hated the loss of the detail so went with the Ripe Persimmon/ speckled egg/  walnut stain + black ink and edged with Promarker in a dark warm grey.

Here’s hoping that she likes it!

More cards

The muse is still with me thankfully so I am making the most of it!

I have made a card for my grandson who is a keen musical amateur dramatist. I was inspired by a recent post in a magazine that used Visible Image stamps- something that I don’t possess but I did have something similar for the background so I did my own version.

I have also assembled a couple of other cards, no recipients in mind for the time being. I have used smooshed ink backgrounds & some papers from my collection. I wonder where they will get sent?

Life goes on

…. It’s a bit like a duck or swan around here! Busy with all sorts but I still try to get some form of creative work done on a daily basis.

A new baby in the neighbourhood

A friend has a birthday next month but he was going away to France skiing for 6 weeks so I needed to make a card before he left…

Gelli printing with cornflour resist!

Colour Me Positive brings a new quote

Someone who is a real extrovert is turning 75 soon so I put the new stamps from the latest Creative Stamping magazine to good use!

I made one for my drinking buddy too! The lady loves a bottle of wine once in a while!!!!

And this one is for my grandson who loves to sing/act

Granddaughter is my next challenge!
