Two more….

 I’m on a roll!

Smooshed inks again: Fossilized Amber, Dusty Concord, Hickory Smoke & Chipped Sapphire with IndigoBlu stamps, not sure what the paper behind is but it was a pack of 6”x6”- free if I recall correctly.

For the next one it’s Bundled Sage, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron , Peeled Paint, Stormy Sky, Speckled Egg, Salvaged Patina, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Uncharted Mariner with the same IndigoBlu stamps.

This one has some gift wrap behind it!

Cards

I have been thinking ahead about the birthday cards for the month ahead and decided to get some made whilst the weather is still rubbish- I don’t want to be in the garden in the cold and the rain.

I have no idea what the spotty paper is, I have had it for years! The plain pink was a leftover from when I was doing my C&G in creative embroidery and therefore even older and the top layer of smooshed inks are Antique Linen, Picked Raspberry and Aged Mahogany. The stamp is from IndigoBlu and as it reminds me of Hellebore I thought it was appropriate for spring birthdays. I have coloured with watercolour pencils then edged it with a green promarker pen and the greeting panel is done with a warm grey to reflect the spots colours.

The base layer is a free paper from a magazine, the green layer is from a paper pack that I bought in Boston (Mass) about 20 years ago and the top layer is smooshed Worn Lipstick and Hickory Smoke and using the same IndigoBlu stamp as the previous one. Again I coloured it using watercolour pencils.

This one is another sheet of paper from a magazine and the top is smooshed Candied Apple, Rustic Wilderness, Pine Needles, Lucky Clover and Forest Moss. I had 2 pieces in these colours so I have layered. The bottom is stamped in black using another IndigoBlu stamp & for the poppy I inked & embossed in gold then added black Sharpie to the stamen and centre.

More cards to be made for men and ladies so I will need to get my thinking cap on!

I’m back

 With 2 pages this week…

More printing on tracing paper of either a favourite person or famous person across at Documented Life and as I have just come back from my aunt’s memorial this image seemed appropriate….97 years on this earth.

Colour me positive brings another quote which Facebook didn’t like! Blanked it out & said something about it not being attributed to C S Lewis- funnily enough it didn’t say anywhere that it was so I suspect AI was the guilty party! When I shared my image on the group feed it decided to blank mine out too …..

The weather was awful yesterday so I decided to make a few birthday cards & pulled out the necessary papers etc and as more rain is forecast for tomorrow I think I can safely say that they will be made very soon! Probably using some of the smooshed ink pieces from earlier in the week.

CMP

A few days in Nottinghamshire last week in the home town to see family & say goodbye to my 97 year old aunt meant I was a few days late getting to the prompts this week… only done 1 so far!

Then I decided to get messy with my distress inks and make some backgrounds…

I just need to weight them down to flatten them now!

Birthdays ….

A couple of birthday cards for male friends that have a birthday soon !

The keyboard one is on an acrylic inks and shaving foam background with some watercolour pencils. David is going to be 60 and is a music fan.

And the other is a smooshed inks background with the stamped image having the foliage coloured with watercolour pencils. Also a David but this one is a musician and a tad older.

Life Documented

I almost forgot about this one, it’s definitely more of a challenge to remember when it is every fortnight- we had to do a mono print on tracing paper and related to a favourite place.

I love our time in the French Alps in the dolls house that we have! Summer or winter is lovely but since giving up skiing I definitely don’t miss the snow clearing!

Printed in B&W onto tracing paper and then I added some colour on the reverse side with alcohol pens

The real thing in summer!

Slow off the mark

I’m still doing the Colour Me Positive prompts, it was a little bit late being released this week and I’ve also had other things going on like external paintwork….

I would not normally use purple on the prompt but the page already had the colour on it so I just went with it!
