Number 9

It's time to join in with the tag/card challenge sponsored by https://m.thefunkiejunkie.com/ again and this time it's number 9.

Here is Linda's tag....

I had intended to follow it but when I looked at my papers I went off at a tangent!

A snowy woodland paper which is an offcut of Christmas wrapping paper and some diecut pine branches along the top + some ribbon and diecut ornaments....it turns out that the only real link to Linda's is the deer + bell!

Snowflake sparkle on the background

Another paper than wanted to be used....and a sprig of pine with a bow that's also been diecut - this one has a Scandinavian style panel along the lower part and the deer + bell in common so getting closer!

And another paper I'd pulled out - it still has the trees, the deer + bell but this time I've added a diecut snowflake with some gems.

None of these will actually make it into the post, I shall use these ones for hand delivery so as the bells don't get crushed!

Now I just need to link these to Linda's blog http://thefunkiejunkie.blogspot.co.uk/ and go check out what the others have been up to!

Cold

It's been a busy week with the collection of our new car on Monday then a trip down to Edinburgh on Thursday for Bill to see the eye specialist & we have a date for his cataract operation next month! There was snow on the hills when we left so it was a chilly start and a lorry had been surprised by the conditions and skidded into the stream, fortunately the only damage appeared to be to the bridge.

On the journalling front I have done my journal 52 page:

TOUCH
Come into contact with. Have an effect on. Make a difference to. Produce feelings of affection, gratitude, or sympathy in.
Synonyms: Pat, stroke, caress. Prompt:

Create a spread that explores the things that touch you (literally or figuratively). Use hands or other symbols of touch in your spread. Oracle: What touches you? What impact are you having on people around you? Whose touch are you longing for? How much touch are you getting? How could touch enhance your life right now?

Week 42: Love is all you need

Week 43: collect beautiful moments

Art prompts galore

NOV 20-26 is: BALANCE// Scavenger List: red, yellow, piece of lace or trim, security envelope pattern, magazine cut outs, text from book page, 3 words, stamping with ink , non commercial sticker ( price sticker, name tag, etc)

I sprayed some cotton lace with dylusions and you can see the negative on the right hand page! Added some stamped lace, magazine images in red & yellow as well as some stick on buttons....calling this one done.

Only one month left for the inchies and this week we are all about turkeys and given that it's just past Thanksgiving and Christmas is on the horizon it seems quite appropriate!

I'm off to work on my Christmas cards now....see you all again soon....

And eight

....comes close on the heels of my Funkie Junkie post of yesterday!

Here's Linda's tag...

As always sponsored by www.funkiejunkie.com.

And I've chosen to go with the snowflakes background, no banner but a band in the centre, a large layered snowflake to which I have added "frost" and a leaping deer. I had several papers that seemed appropriate for this card so I decided to make 2 cards and get a little ahead with the card making lol.
The lighter colour papers have been edged using distress ink in "chipped sapphire "

So all that remains is for me to link this up & invite you to go across to  http://thefunkiejunkie.blogspot.co.uk/ and see what the other people have been doing!

Number seven

Funkie Junkie card time....and here is Linda's contribution to the challenge sponsored by her shop
I had a trawl through my papers and scraps and came up with several options

The one I'm linking at http://thefunkiejunkie.blogspot.co.uk/ has the green & blue check, frame & greeting as well as some foliage + Pine cone & the important deer

Then we have a green & red version with frame, greeting, poinsettia as well as foliage and cones....

And a third version that's a touch more masculine somehow, again in red and green with the frame & greeting but this time with some foliage & a die cut bow.

I also cut a green/purple tartan paper & holographic frame/greeting a Di do have a bow that will work with it but I remain undecided about pursuing this one!

So I'm linking number one and moving on to consider my options for the current card, see you all soon

Another  ending has also been announced....every inchie Monday finishing at the end of the year, I shall miss those small pieces s I may well go back over the missing couple of year and do the missed ones!

This week our word is goose

A little blurry I, afraid!

Here's hoping I can get some more art done this week....
