High mountains, deep blue skies, shade from the larch trees, twitter of little birds & the occasional skirl of an eagle make this a beautiful place to chill/read … oh wait, there’s also the occasional roar from a passing motorbike that rudely interrupts!

You have now reached the end of my latest chapter as I am off on my travels again (USA) and will be heading to hospital on my return for knee replacement surgery so I will be back on here as soon as I can!

Holiday season

 I’m away from my desk…. I have done some art while I am in France but not a lot and some of these are from before I came away. 

I’ll be playing catch up with Life Documented next month!

Rennie MacIntosh time

 Play time with a new 4” embossing folder, some smooshed ink 4” scraps and some Art Deco Charles Rennie MacIntosh stamps that I have coloured with distress inks & finally some flat gems. The purple one has been done with silver embossing powder, the orange is the debossed side + gold gilding wax, blue is gilding wax and the pink is black ink rubbed over the raised pattern.

I got my elbow nudged by the dog as I was writing the quote so that Practice definitely needs more PRACTICE!

Rain & hail has interrupted my day again so I’m just going to have to put up with it!

Oops I have been MIA!

 May seems to have passed by in a flash! I did go away for a week to Andalusia so that was part of the problem but then when we came back to Scotland the weather was so nice that I was outside most of the time….

So here’s what I have managed to accomplish in the quieter moments

A picture in our hotel caught my eye, reminds me very much of the Camargue area that we visited almost 20 years ago and also a bull breeding area!

These dogs were guarding the entrance to the shop across the street from the hotel…

I just loved the idea of the sign being spaghetti on this one!

The good weather has meant that the rhododendron plants have been amazing this year, this is the most recent addition to the garden 

Then I managed to sneak in a few birthday cards as well using some existing backgrounds….

I’m trying to get my workroom tidy LOL so who knows what or when I’ll be done but I’m hoping to get back to the blog again soon.

 Another week goes by and I have got my CMP quote done…

The weather is still pretty chilly and the knee pretty sore so no gardening much to Brodie’s disgust!

 Well, the knee is still a pain and I have become very weary of it all so I try to distract myself with art but I’m not sure it’s really doing the job!!
