 Here’s some of the February scavenger pages…

Art Prompts Galore

 We have our weekly prompts again this year

So here’s Grey, lines, form, something from the kitchen, gems or sparkle, die cut, a tag, item of your choice

Paint swatch, key, postage stamp, magazine or book image, pink, coffee filter, add texture.

Paint through a stencil, something botanical, crayon rubbing, background of your choice, random embellishment, dots, envelope window, vintage or vintage look image.

Wrapping paper, crumpled tissue paper, game piece, add punch outs, stamping with a random object, a tree, circles, item of your choice.

Shannon, who is the group leader, has also set daily challenges along the “scavenger” lines so I also decided to take part in those and have done them all for this month as we got the list at the start of the month, I’ll share some and the rest later.

Oh dear!

 I’m not sure what has happened to my good intentions! I thought I’d done a post but it seems to have vanished into the ether….

So it’s time for a catch up here…. We have had a visit from storm Malik which brought down yet more trees and also left us without power again, this time it was 31.5 hours but thankfully it was not as cold as back in November with storm Arwen. Today is the day after storm Eunice and we were spared visits by Dudley & Eunice as far as wind went but we did get snow yesterday which was sudden & heavy! Sunshine rules today and it’s glorious sitting here in my workroom.

So on the art front I’ve been doing some different things but here’s what I’ve got for Life documented 

This one has Tracy Scott style colouring on it.

Colour me positive 

For this one I use an index card with stencil and did some Tracy Scott style colouring.

I’ve also been busy with art prompts galore but I’ll do those under a separate post……

Good intentions

 Well I promised myself that I would try to be a little bit more active here so no big gap since my last post!

We’re still waiting for our “leader” to post prompts over at Colour me Positive but as she’d given us a couple of extra ones last year I’ve gone ahead with those. Here’s the first where I’ve used a piece from a course I did with Lally Mille

Art prompts galore 

Blue: I’ve scraped 5 different acrylic blues on my page

Quote, 

rubber stamping + gaming piece (dominoes),

Coffee or tea dyed (eyelash yarn) 

Napkin

Something received in the mail (pale grey square of suede like paper)

Sticker: I liked the Matt/metallic border from some Happy Birthday strips and have used the waste strip from the side.

Life documented 

Colour me positive done in a Dyan Reaveley style using some goodies that I have.

Faces again

 Well I decided to take the faces theme on again using the Jane Davenport set that I have and stamped a large hand carved one in the centre. It still needed something so I added a face from an advert for an Edinburgh art gallery (red image) and printed out a small comment with my label maker that is edged in red.
