Less is more week 91 sketch 7
Time to get my skates on as this closes soon & I am able to grab a little me time whilst Bill is busy cleaning out the gutters!
Long panel has been coloured with DI Broken China & stamped with a snowflake stamp in the same colour- cut into 3 panels that have had the edges coloured with DI Salty Ocean.
Once I had stuck these onto the base card I overstamped the panel with Tim Holtz's snowman in archival black, added a few small gems to him & added a "happy holidays".
I cannot believe its only 56 days to go!!!

Try it on Tuesday
I am finally back from my travels, have more or less got my workroom under control and have got into Halloween mode!
Pumpkins at the door, jellies on the windows & sweets in stock- I have even managed to make a couple of tags. Tim Holtz October tag is now posted & here is the one I made for TIOT.
Skulls stamped onto tissue paper which I scrunch glued to a blank tag, coloured the skulls with promarkers & the background with distress inks, I have also got some "blood" splats that are a paper artsy stamp. The skeleton & his background is also coloured with promarkers then mounted onto some pearlescent grey pape. Halloween is a Chocolate Baroque stamp which I have used some midnight sparkle embossing powder on. The googly eyed skull came from my grandson!

12 tags of 2012- October
Hi everyone! Yes I am finally back at my desk, sorry it's been a while but I went on a lovely holiday to visit the family in America (and get "supplies" that I have been wanting)
So it is time for the October tag and with only a few days to spare...
Surprise, surprise, I did not have any of Tim's goodies- some things never change! But who said I could not improvise?
I have stamped some tissue paper with stamps from A C Moore & Michaels that I bought several years ago (jack o lantern & trick or treat).
The tissue paper was coloured with distress inks rather than stains (Wild Honey/ Spiced Marmalade/ Rusty Hinge/ Seedless Preserves).
The cobweb stamp is a Martha Stewart one, BOO & 31 are die-cuts, the bat & spider came from a mixed bag I bought at the Dollar Store (rings).
I did try to make the black glitter but had no dry Stickles or black Alcohol in- my efforts with white glitter & regular black ink were not worth using so gave it a miss.

Furniture
So many drawers! I have 2 new storage4crafts units made up and I have started to fill them :-) - I will have to label the drawers though as I can finally have a drawer per stamp subject (or more). There is still 1 unit to make up which will house my paper stash and I am using this move to have a clear out :-).
I am so looking forward to being sorted as i hate having all these piles everywhere but even more to getting crafting again.
I will share some art soon.

Crafting with Lucas & Emily
Had a play date with the grandchildren on Wednesday!
Lucas made the skeleton/cat/bats picture (7yrs) & Emily made the cat (9)
We had a lot of fun & today we made a baseball diamond with seating, dugout & score board all inside a cardboard box that proved impossible to photograph.

Fir cones
:-D At last I have managed to get my hands on Tim's tattered pine cones... I convinced Bill to take me to Jo-Ann's this morning and they were having a reduced Tim Holtz products day so some grunge paper, salvage tickets, chitchat, nibs & the pine cone die all made their way into the shopping basket. Loads more I wanted but space is running out in the suitcase :-(. This time next week it will all be over- the up side will be that I can get back into my craft room :-)

More stash!
Managed to escape the clutches of the grandchildren a couple of days ago & sneak in a trip to Michael's- yeay!
Sadly not as successful a shopping trip as I was hoping for but that's life:-/
So I'm sharing another shopping picture and also me having a fun cocktail (frozen mixed berry margarita) after having been to see the Buddy Holly story at the Ogonquit Playhouse.
Hope you all had a fun crafting w/e.

Stash time
We have been in Maine now for almost a week and yesterday I finally got to go craft shopping- not done yet though as I still need to visit Michael's & Joanne's but I have managed to get some bits & bobs. It will be good to get crafting again, I miss my playtime but it's good to be spending some time with the grandchildren. I promise some work as soon as I am able.
