I saw this recently and it struck a chord!

And yet more catchups
I could not resist adding another "shoe" page to DLP- made from a free sheet of paper, the 2 large shoes & the boot are all from old birthday cards and the smaller ones are on recycled ATCs
Yes! I do like shoes...but ironically, I prefer to be barefoot from choice - must be something to do with all my years in the middle east :-)
My second page is for Journal 52: refresh
A bright sheet of random magazine paper, some leftover washi tape, some paper with oil pastel blocks of colour that has been stencilled over the top of using distress ink. The tea pot came as a topper with a magazine. I've added a few of my coloured & stamped stickers as well.

DLP 7 and 14
I'm still catching up...between sleeping in (08.20!) having breakfast, walking the dog, a spot of gardening, mailing Bills medical claim, having lunch, going to Aberdeen so Bill could see the hip consultant, driving home (now I know why my shoulder is so sore:-(!) and having a couple of glasses of wine in the sunshine in the back garden I managed to finish 2 more pages!!!
Week 7 take a shape, repeat it & colour
Week 14 decorate your name
I used some chipboard letters that I've had for ages, coated with gesso then distress paint (persimmon) I've doodled the shape with the letter using a sharpie pen (s on S, a on A etc) the background is a mixture of distress stains, embossing paste, stencilling, a little treasure copper.
I added some recycled flowers and some tattered garland leaves.
My washi is masking tape coloured with a spectrum noire pen & stamped with a couple of rubber stampede leaf stamps using DI walnut stain.
Implausible
Every inchie Monday's new theme nearly had me stumped!
I eventually got there after a rummage in my bits & pieces and thanks to an article in our local paper all about Scotland's famous Nessie - the Loch Ness monster :-) apparently she's not been seen for 11 years!!!!! No wonder, I found her hiding in my craft room :-D
So here is my share for this week...

DLP 10,11 and 12
More catch ups, I'm on a roll!
Page 10 make a list of the things that make you YOU
a stencilled background & a Chocolate Baroque mini stamp border done with DI (squeezed lemonade & mowed lawn)
Page 11 add a bird
I had a sheet of 6x6 pink Paislee (golden jubilee) that's been sitting around for a while & now it's found a home :-) I stamped a golden cage & "be free" from a recent set of free stamps and added a little blue bird that came from an advert- the tracks at the top/bottom of the page were also a free stamp
Next up and it's #12 page from a magazine it's from STELLA (feb14 Sunday telegraph) with bright spring colours . I've done book page washi tape (DI mustard seed) a couple of button dimensional stickers & one of my created one from yesterday (enjoy life)

More catch ups
Page 3 at DLP is add an envelope from the mail
I've not had any all week so I chose to add an addressed one that never got sent + some mini envelopes I made ages ago
Then I stuck some off cuts on the back of another page where the ink had bled through
DLP 5 is added a doodled border so I did something to match the Journal 52 pageAnd the reverse is facing lost art of love letters so I've used woven paper strips, random heart stickers & some stamping (Paper Artsy)

Documented life project catch up
Page 1 my front door
Poetic licence for this one... A chocolate baroque stamp for the front door of that villa in Italy that I dream of!
Tim's March tag
Too late for the challenge but I want the full set!
My card stock won't smudge despite trying several lots that I have so I'm just sticking to the approximate design :-)
The stamps came with a magazine whilst I was in France - no idea what that months gift was to be but it was fortuitous!!!
I've used a stencil & blending tool on the background.... January & February still to make so keep watching this space.

Tim's April tag
For the first time this year I am able to join in with Tim's monthly tag challenge....
Here is the masters tag
So now let me say that, as is so often the case, I had hardly any of the requirements! In particular the gorgeous trellis die.....but as ever, I managed to improvise (but not necessarily like) and create something with what I had. Tim must make an awful lot of pine ones and roses to get his looking so good!
Here is mine....

Journal 52 week 16
Our cue for this week is recycled art & I've decided to indulge myself...
Maps are a passion - I use GPS on a rare occasion but I prefer a paper map any day of the week & an ordinance survey one is best (UK ) or Michelin if in France.
This is piece of 1988 issue Michelin map 84 (côte d'azur) home turf for me as my parents live there. I've also used some metal (food container) that has been embossed, die-cut & inked with alcohol ink for the car- the arrow is also metal but was already black. Home made washi tape & some glossy accents for the "glass" in the car windows.

Thorntons Moments with a stencilled background
Hot
Monday morning... Easter Monday at that and I hope you've all had a very good weekend.
Here in Scotland the weather decided to play nice :-) which was great because son ( from San Francisco ) & granddaughter ( Hampshire ) had come to visit and we were delighted to have a BBQ that we could eat outdoors!
My inchie this week features something you also do in fine weather HOT AIR BALLOONING!

Easter
Granddaughter Maddie has been up for Easter w/e and we've been to Go Ape (swinging & zip lining through trees) been to visit Ballater for lunch (near Balmoral where the queen spends her summer hols) golf driving range... And today we bar-b-queued & ate in the garden in glorious sunshine - we found time to do a little crafting too :-) I did the background & some stamping for her and she did the rest

Bloom
Tuesday....and it's twinchie challenge time again! I've been playing with some distress paints/stains/inks to make a journal cover and the colours made me think of roses- the apricot/tinge of pink ones. I think of my gran when I see these as she used to have them in the garden - "drambuie" from Harry Wheatcroft I think

Journal 52
So I finished off my 4th season page....stuff that was left over from Xmas (tags) and random bits from my box ....
And then I got the current Party Animal page done too!
It was so funny that I just had these bits of paper with what look like paper streamers on them, they've been sitting in a folder for several years, unloved & unused! The opportune occasion eventually turned up :-) the elephant was a free stamp that I've coloured with Promarkers and the flags are cut from scraps....a very tiny dent has not really been made in my stash!
Cloud
A few clouds in the sky today so this Twinchie challenge is appropriate! It's a new theme tomorrow so I'm just sneaking in under the wire :-)
Blue paper ( from a kit?) free cloud stamp that I've inked, embossed, fussy cut & then cut in half before sticking down.
I thought afterwards that I could have made a window frame but decided it could stay as it was.... I also added a few "birdies" flying through the sky :-)

Head
It's Monday and I'm back in Scotland :-) I drove 1095miles to be reunited with my stash and I'm slowly catching up on blogposts that I need to read, challenges I take part in as well as all the boring day to day stuff like housework and running Bill to the physio....as well as getting ready for the arrival of my stepson and eldest granddaughter - they are gracing us with their presence over Easter weekend!
Monday is inchie day and here is my share for this week...
Journal 52 week 14
Rain or shine is the cue!
Well, I'm reunited with my stash and so I got rather carried away!!!
I love spring flowers, balmy summer days, Fall colours & winter snow days as long as there are not too many & open fires. Therefore I have no real favourite season :-)

Gold
Well, I'm still improvising...this was before I left the chalet! I am on route to the ferry in Zeebrugge this Monday in April ( she says writing the blog post on a Sunday night)
I found this picture of the Tutankhamen death mask and as its all a glittery with gold it seemed to fit the bill for this weeks inchie challenge :-)

Rainbow
Twinchie Tuesday :-) no link appeared yet but I live in hope... It's been a few weeks since we had one :-(
I managed to cobble a rainbow together with what pens I had.... Not brilliant but it's my last post from France as I am busy packing up our stuff to load into the car - there is rain forecast Thursday & Friday! I don't fancy standing on a stepladder in the rain to be able to load the roofbox.
We have all our hotel accommodation booked and will leave here Saturday morning & will eventually get home to Scotland on Wednesday ! Apologies in advance if I don't get my blog comments to you for a while.
Anyway, enough waffle, here is my dodgy rainbow...
