Journal 52 week 16

Our cue for this week is recycled art & I've decided to indulge myself...
Maps are a passion - I use GPS on a rare occasion but I prefer a paper map any day of the week & an ordinance survey one is best (UK ) or Michelin if in France.

This is piece of 1988 issue Michelin map 84 (côte d'azur) home turf for me as my parents live there. I've also used some metal (food container) that has been embossed, die-cut & inked with alcohol ink for the car- the arrow is also metal but was already black. Home made washi tape & some glossy accents for the "glass" in the car windows.

  1. Fabulous use of the map (another map-lover here, but I like the even older sort with "here be dragons" on the edge!), and those little metallic cars are really cool!
