Linda's boutique kindly sponsors the challenge and she has given us some wonderful inspiration - check out the blog! So Christmas is almost upon us, only a week away now and we will all be celebrating.
I loved the wreath on the latest tag Linda created and felt like doing a more dimensional that those I've done so far this year
I've used a 5"x8" base, embossed some cream card to get a brick wall effect & added antique linen to the raised areas, the door has been done with the same card coloured with brushed corduroy, run through the embossed with a wood grain folder & then walnut added to the raised parts.
I cut out a window and added "glass" it's actually the backing from some stickers. A LaBlanche tree is in the background.
The wreath is a ring of thin card, juniper sprigs cut with the festive greenery, poinsettias cut from tattered flower garland, tiny yellow seed beads have been used to create the centres. A piece of tartan ribbon to finish, i am in Scotland after all!
A circle stamped with a greeting & the edge stamped using a pine twig stamp and the final card is done.
What fun I've had playing along with Linda's challenge this year, the upside of not having sloped off to the alps for the winter. I hope she'll forgive the almost identical copy....mine is nowhere as good!

Very pretty! Love all the texture you added with the bricks and wood grain.
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo!!! You did it and now we're on a hold for a year until the next one! Congratulations on making an outstanding finale. The texture and depth to the background with your bricks are wonderful. Absolutely love your cozy welcoming wreath and that tartan now is the best topper.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you,
Lisa
Terrific, LOVE that brick wall texture fade. It works perfectly with the woodgrain door. Love how you used the poinsettias on the wreath. The tiny bead centers are so sweet. The tartan bow is the perfect finishing touch.
ReplyDeleteI'm so delighted you played along in my little Christmas tag challenge this year, Sally! I hope to see you back again next year. Congratulations on completing all 12 tags and crossing the finish line!
Wishing you and yours a blessed Christmas.
Hugs,
Linda
