How do you tune out the horrors of the world? Today I chose to make some art that actually reflects yesterday's attack in Paris.
It was not intentional rather an OOPS as Carolyn Dube would say, and so when my stamp slipped on the slick surface was it a tragedy? No, it was an opportune occasion!
Red paint slapped over the smear +some small blue tiles....a Tim Holtz stamp and I had a new page. Now it's no masterpiece & it's not meant to be, it just had to be because despite not being superstitious yesterday was Friday 13th.
The other pages are just a development of the pages that still have more work to be done on them...
Fantastic art work Sally. It is a wonderful tribute piece for all the sadness that has happened in France. Everyone is stunned with the news

Hi Sally
ReplyDeleteWhat fabby pieces of work to look at .. .. I love all the bright colours .. .. and of course my favourite is the one with all the hearts!! LOL!
Many thanks for your lovely comment on my blog over the weekend .. .. my news seems so un-important in light of all the awful happenings that are dominating the news. All very scary!
Hope you are starting to shake off those germs now!
Love Jules xx
It really stopped the heart hearing about what was happening in France, and the momentary slip of your hand has created a piece which was obviously meant to happen. It really stands out amongst your other colourful pages.
