Tim's December tag take 2

....more of yesterday's smooshed background which has also had a few snowflakes stencilled on using versamark + Lilac Pearl iridescent EP.

Stampendous poinsettia was then stamped onto the background using gold ink & EP, onto some old dictionary pages in Peeled Paint & Fired Brick both had clear embossing powder added .

I fussy cut & layered the coloured leaves & "petals", added a couple of gold flourishes (festive greenery sissix die) then used some glossy accents to glue some micro beads to the flower centre .

Peace on Earth (Rubber Stampede) was stamped in red & embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Berry Red Aurora onto an old exercise book page that I had coloured with Antique Linen DI, roughed up the edges & added a little Vintage Photo.

The threads came from the stash box!

That's another tag done & posted on a snowy winters day....Nice to have an excuse to play when one is full of the cold (that stepson had the kindness to share!)

Tim's December tag

I just knew that I should have ordered those blueprint stamps, not just the Christmas ones but all of them!

So for this months tag I had absolutely none of the requirements :-(

But not one to fall at the first hurdle...I decided to go with the theme rather than anything else.

A "smooshed" background - Black Soot & Chipped Sapphire DI - a spritz of gold acqua fortis.

Tim's snowman rubber stamp ink & EP in white, the top hat got restamped in gold, cut out & mounted with a few foam pads.

Mini holly Tonic punch gave me some tiny holly sprigs for the brim.

The Music score is also a Tim stamp that I used with gold ink & EP.

A small piece of blue tinsel, don't ask where that came from as I have no idea,

A gold snowflake sequin with an iridescent 3D one glued on over the top.

A short length of knitted iridescent white braid.....

Some gold letters diecut to spell JOY and an edge of gold glitter!

Job done Sally-style! I hope he likes it :-)

Less is more...

In green & blue.

A white 5x7 card stamped with sunny sunflowers in chipped sapphire then clear embossed & coloured with tumbled Glass & Broken China, 2 leaves from the same set stamped in Forest Moss then clear embossed & coloured with more Forest Moss.
I did 2 more flowers the same way & fussy cut to give the flower a little dimension - cutting some of the petals away for creating depth- I added 3 "fallen" petals to the card.

He loves, he loves me not....

Teaser

Well as the test post seems to have worked I thought I'd post a small portion of a project I'm working on- rainbow tag swap- the tags are not going out until late August so cannot reveal too much but I would not want anyone to think that I was slacking.

Bingo?

Not quite! The TIOT challenge set me thinking that I had not done an awful lot with a set of stamps that I had bought from Art from the Heart whilst in Harrogate a few years ago and I decided to remedy the situation....

First I brushed some distress inks onto white card (Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge) then a little stencilling using Ripe Persimmon before using Aged Mahogany & Fired Brick to stamp with, the edges are done with Aged Mahogany.
The Scrabble tiles came from my stash (USA) and the cards themselves I cut from some card I bought ages ago at The Paper Mill Shop at the outlet in York, a rich yellowy orange.

Pan Pastels

Grabbed a little time today to do a first play with my new Pan Pastels...need to do more playing!
I made a background using the Permanent Red & Violet tints plus I added a little of some other pastels
(Conte Crayons), stamped Elusive Images IRIS plate with Versamark and then dusted with Violet tint...Not sure about the card that I have used...it is the back of an old christmas card but as it was a first test I thought I'd see what happened.

Then I wanted to assemble the bits for another tag, Chocolate Baroque "Echoes of Italy"

I coloured the background with Distress inks in Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Walnut. The pattern was stamped with versamark & embossed with Copper, the 2 tiles stamped with Walnut & clear embossed, then coloured in with Tea Dye,Vintage Photo, Antique Linen & Walnut. All the edges were finished with Marvy Mettalic Copper.

Hope you enjoyed looking :-)
