Where have I been? Warning....contains pictures!

Sorry.....I’m not sure where I have been but certainly not away!

We had a day out recently to the Linn ‘o Dee ......

For those of you that don’t know the area, it’s just beyond Braemar and Balmoral where the queen spends her summer holidays, she was still up here when we visited but, like many, she’s lying low to avoid COVID 19.

I’ve have some more inky play....

The new Crackling Campfire was involved with this one.

I’ve done some wacky holidays pages...

Some journal pages...

I’ve joined an altered card deck challenge, not swapping them though and I’m aiming to use some of my underused stamps for this as well as some scraps. I’ve yet to decide on the backing...

The organiser set the themes.

I’ve made more cards....

More coins got used on these...

Some painted stones for the Banchory Rocks project...

More coins....

A couple of those “oh so difficult “ bereavement cards

So there you have it....picture heavy answer to where I’ve been!

I promise I will try to get to visit you soon.

Playing

I’ve been getting inky this week...

Brusho + stencil

Distress inks / oxides on white & pearlescent white card led to this mixed media post card for an upcoming swap...

I also diecut some of the scraps....

Another alphabet postcard

And this week’s Life documented requirement was to paint in an abstract style using many layers...not a technique that I am enamoured with, I much prefer to smoosh ink lol!

I played with chalk pastels using them as watercolour paint, stencilled DI,D oxide, also added some stain over the top on part of the sheet of paper (which I discarded) .....and got stuck so I walked the dog....when I came back to the desk I realised that now I’d cut the paper in 4 & they were lying in a different direction...one could imagine that the triangles were fish! After that I raided the scraps bin & diecut some seaweed and added micro beads as bubbles (they go back to August 2005 and came as an offer with Craft Stamper magazine which has just died due to Covid 19)

See you again soon!

Gifts

No trips abroad so far this year and with our annual trip to the USA off the cards my access to gifts from abroad are severely affected. I’ve decided that my #100daysof100coins might as well come in useful and so I’ve made more cards that I will be able to give away

Life documented is full of stitching this week!

It’s still dreary here so it’s nice to have something bright on my desk!!!

See you soon.....
