October

Finally! I've been playing & getting messy whilst making my October tags for Tims challenge.

As usual I have had to improvise :-)

I've done 1 tag with home made paste, cargo stencil, Martha Stewart spider stamp, recollections pumpkin, 2 smaller pumpkin stamps, TH black tinsel, scrabble letters, metal rimmed sticker that I've written on. The stamped images were coloured with DI (wild honey, spiced marmalade, ripe persimmon, rusty hinge, crushed olive & forest moss) the tag was coloured using  distress stains transferred into a spritzing bottle (spiced marmalade, crushed olive, dusty concord, antiqued bronze)

The second tag has been coloured using silk paints from DEKA (zitron, pistachio, plum). The large pumpkin has had a layer of iridescent fire nail varnish on the orange & a green sparkle one over the foliage, I had run out of glossy accents at this stage! I've used a slightly longer tag and punched the bottom using a Martha Stewart cobweb border punch. Random letters from my stash.

The third one I coloured with the distress stains and then used the Halloween embossing folder. I used rusty hinge DI brayered over the top - the large pumpkin is sealed with clear nail varnish, the left one has glossy accents & the right one is the fire top coat. Random letters from my stash, a spider ring cut off from the ring and a Jolle's Boutique skull raised sticker

  2. Wow - you made a trio of tags, that's inspirational. Just stopping over from Tim's tag site to say that I liked you tag, well, tags... I think if I had to choose, the middle one is my favorite. I like the coloring and the subtle background. Take Care. http://craftynurse4u.wordpress.com/2014/10/05/october-tim-holtz-tag-2014/
