I may not be making any art at the moment but I am certainly getting to see some so I will share a few more that have caught my eye- one of my favourites being the Dali thumb.

Silver Oak
Not a lot of creativity going on in my life right now- but getting to see & taste other people's !
Enjoying fine wines & dining in California's Napa Valley with stepson & daughter-in-law. Some of the wineries have quite a selection of art on display. Here is a lovely bronze fox & some stained glass. Enjoy & thanks for looking :-)

Travel...
Try it on Tuesday is about travel this week so here a few ATCs on that theme...
A paint strip with some stamping from Clear Choice Stamps (Travel & Trip to Paris) and another one using a Craft Stamper freebie (map) plus stamps from Limited Edition Stamps by Danielle Johnson
Some Music paper, a leaning tower of Pisa printed onto tracing paper & PISA stamped onto a paper scrap. The next one is a piece of Ordinance Survey map with Tim Holtz stamps (bicycle & postcard) with a flower attached with a brad, and finally Vacation stamped onto green card, a piece of travel advertising from who knows where but it was in my stash and another Tim Holtz stamp of a City Skyline. All this is well & truly putting me in the mood for my holidays :-))
Hope you like what's posted.

Less is more Oval
This time I already had a card! I made it a couple of days before the theme came out so a very happy coincidence.
A square card, a piece of paper from my stash that I have punched at the corners and then inked around the edges in Worn Lipstick, another paper scrap from my stash, a white oval die cut stamped with mittens (Polka Doodles). I have edged the oval with Worn Lipstick & added a tiny amount of glitter to the snowflake on the mittens.
Keep warm!

CAS Friday 69
This week the challenge is to use black, white & a colour and with this been the lea up to Halloween & all things pumpkin I decided to make this card....
White card card, black card cut with around the page Martha Stewart punches, happy Halloween banner is a Martha Stewart stamp and the pumpkin is pale orange card die cut with a spellbinders die that I have then stencilled through to deepen the orange using Ripe Persimmon.
Happy Halloween indeed!

TIOT anything goes...
another week, another challenge... and I am going to share something that I made for a girlfriend who is into her gardening- a loose leaf notebook for all her garden ideas, plans, how-to etc.
I have taken 2 pieces of mount board that I have covered with paper taken from an old plant book, these have been painted with yellow acrylic.
The front cover has had Vintage Bulb Collage from Stamps Happen stamped onto tissue paper and then glue on, I have used some sequin waste to stencil dotty patches, stamped the "Bloom" words on randomly. I have stamped assorted Paper Artsy flowers onto paper scraps, and the hinges onto some black card. These were all glued onto the front & back panels and with the hinges I have also used some orange eyelets.
I have cut pages for inside that I have coloured in yellows & greens and also used some stamping.
Hinged rings to hold everything together hat I have then added assorted yarns, threads & ribbons to.
Hope you like what you see, it was fun to make!

Less is more foliage
Well now, there's a subject that I like, especially in the autumn. Making a decision on how to treat the subject was a tough one but at least it was simplified by having to be a one layer card :-)
I used the Tim Holtz Tattered Foliage die to create a stencil and then, using individual pegs from Rubber Stamp Tapestry I stamped foliage in distress inks - the rectangular card using Wild Honey, Tea Dye, Barn door & a little Mustard Seed, the sentiment is from Kanban. The square card was stamped using Squeezed Lemonade, Ripe Persimmon & Seedless Preserves.
Two birthdays coming up soon so I'm all set!

September with Tim Holtz
Another month, another challenge & another hunt for substitute items :-)
I had no metal tape for this months challenge but I did have some foil dishes that had been through the dishwasher so I used the base from a dish that I then stuck carpet tape to, cut it into pieces and patch covered the #8 tag.
I followed Tim's instructions for fake rivets using a Biro also a pattern tracing wheel, an embossing tool & a stylus. I did not have the same alcohol inks so I used Purple Twilight, Lettuce & Eggplant. Once this was dry I painted over the whole surface with black Quink. Left things to dry and then did some rubbing with a copper pan scorer & also some 000 steel wool.

Some time ago a friend sent me a die cut of a bird cage +bird, I decided that now was the time to put them to good use. The cage was swiped with versamark then I used copper embossing powder with a little verdigris sprinkle on as well, the bird was painted with yellow acrylic paint and then over stamped using a Paper Artsy mini (cogs).
I have used some foam pads to raise the bird cage in the middle. A small orange bead for an eye, an old key, a light bulb from an old set of Xmas tree lights and some ribbon have all come from my stash and I have also added a cog, spinner & brad from Tim's ideology.
Less is CASology
Decided I could manage 2 challenges with this one! Less is more "brown & pink" & CASology's "family".
5" square white card, pink die-cut with Spellbinders eyelet square. The stamping is done in brown Colorbox & the image coloured using pro markers

busy, busy, busy...
I would not want anyone to think that I have been slacking, in the past week I have assembled & made 75 of those unmentionable cards that we will all be needing come December! I have also been mulling over what I shall be doing for the Tim's 12 tags of 2012 challenge- I'm still thinking but I do have some ideas despite, as usual, not having the necessary ingredients!!!
So as I am not posting any of my work here, I decided that I would share pictures of the Rainbow tag swap that recently happened with 3 other friends ( Julia Bassett, Dot Horrocks & Linda Jachnik)
Enjoy and apologies for the layout, Blogger is causing me grief today.....
